My name is Curtis.

I’ve worked in education for the last 25 years. I am currently a guidance counselor for an online school

I am married to Florida’s best midwife.

I have 4 kids. Each one as different than the last.

I grew up in Brazil. I am fluent in Portuguese and, to me, beans and rice are comfort foods.

My go-to drink is either an Old Fashioned or a Gin and Tonic.

This webpage is a collection of my writing–based on my personal thoughts and feelings. It started out as a project to just write, but it gradually became therapeutic and cathartic. Much of my writing centers around my upbringing as an MK and my process of deconstructing and deconversion from Christianity.
